Hi, I’m Dr. Mahtab Moaveni, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist passionate about helping
individuals heal from trauma, navigate stress, and move through life transitions with
greater clarity. I support those dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, racial and
cultural stress, complex family dynamics, relationship conflict, and the feeling of
being stuck or overwhelmed.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate and warm. I use evidence-based
therapies including ACT, CBT, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy, honoring your unique
story, culture, and values while helping you find strength and connection. My work is
guided by a deep commitment to racial equity, social justice, and person-centered
treatment and I am committed to helping you foster resilience and empowerment
during your healing journey.

I earned my doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California and have
extensive experience working with justice-involved and vulnerable populations across
forensic, residential and community settings. I also teach and consult on trauma-
informed, culturally responsive, and justice-oriented care. I provide therapy in
English, French, and Farsi and I’m committed to making therapy a space for
meaningful growth.
